When Microsoft was designing windows 8, it delved much into security. Now all that security changes is a bit too cranky for its users. For instance, when you boot your computer, you’ll be prompted to enter your Microsoft account password. After that, you still have your local account password, your picture password and your pin to deal with. All that might be necessary, but it’s a little too much if unauthorized access to your computer is no longer part of your problem–especially if your computer never leaves your desk. Fortunately, there’s an easy way you can use to remove windows 8 passwords. Here’s how:
Removing Microsoft account password To remove this password, you’ll first have to visit Microsoft account overview web page, where you’ll be required to sign in. After that, click on “permission” ; then, open the “manage account” menu. Here, you’ll be presented with a list of all Microsoft accounts you’ve ever added into your account. You can now go to the account you want to remove and click “edit”. Finally, tap on the “remove this connection completely” button, and your computer will never ask you for your Microsoft account password again.
Removing local account password or windows 8 password. To remove windows 8 password or the local account password, start by opening command prompt. For windows 8, the command prompt can be opened by pressing key+R from your keyboard; then typing, “netplwiz” before clicking “ok”. At this point. you can uncheck on “users must enter user name and password to use this computer”. After that, click “ok”, then enter your name and password as prompted. Click “ok” again and then restart your computer. After you’re done, you’ll no longer need to enter your user name or password every time you try to log into windows 8.
Removing the picture passwordWindows 8 allows its users to set a picture password. Users can then login to their windows accounts and perform certain gestures on their pictures. However, if you don’t want this feature availed to your users, you can simply disable it. In fact, all you have to do is to follow these simple steps: go to “settings” –> “more PC settings” –>”user settings”; then click “remove” and your picture password will be disabled.
Removing pinTo remove the pin from your computer, start by going to PC setting; alternatively, you can still access PC settings by pressing windows +C button. After that, select settings; then, change PC settings. Finally, you can select users before clicking on the “remove” button. At this point, your computer is free from pin or any other password.
After you’ve followed all the four steps above, you can now sign in windows 8 without being prompted to enter any password. We, however, recommend you retain your local account password for security purposes. But if you’re certain that your computer is safe, then follow the steps and remove windows 8 passwords until the day you’ll need them again.
